  • It is proposed that membership involve:

    • Individuals or their representatives with a proprietary interest in property in the Elgin area.
    • Individuals or their representatives with a proprietary interest in a business or professional establishment in the Elgin area.
  • The Elgin area would be defined as the area bounded by the Canal, Metcalfe Street, Queensway and Slater Street.
  • Parties who are not members of the EBA would not be permitted to attend meetings except for ex-officio members or invited guests.
  • The President from time to time of the Sparks, Rideau and Bank Merchants Associations and Ottawa Board of Trade be ex-officio members of the EBA.

    As outlined to the EABA membership, a recent decision of the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB), involving the appeal 595799 Ontario Limited, of provisions of the June 25, 2008 City of Ottawa (City) Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 208-250 (CZB) is available for download: CBZ decision (PDF).
