Winterlude Street Closures
February 2009

Laurier Avenue and parts of Elgin Street may be closed on weekends from Saturday, February 7 to Sunday, February 22 between 9:30am and 8:30 pm for Winterlude festivities.

Help Santa Toy Parade
November 2008

Re: 39th Help Santa Toy Parade

a. The parade shall commence at approximately 11:00 a.m. and terminate at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, 22nd November 2008.

b. The parade route shall be restricted to the following City of Ottawa streets:
(1) Westbound on Laurier Avenue between Nicholas Street and O’Connor Street;
(2) South on O Connor Street between Laurier Avenue and Gladstone Avenue;
(3) West on Gladstone Avenue between O Connor Street and Bank Street, and
(4) South on Bank Street between Gladstone Avenue and Lansdowne Park.

c. Laurier Avenue between Nicholas Street and O Connor Street shall be closed at approximately 8:30 a.m. and shall remain closed until the tail end of the parade turns onto O Connor Street. Laurier Avenue will be used prior to the commencement of the parade as a staging area.

d. Elgin Street between Slater Street and Lisgar Street shall be closed from approximately 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. to accommodate spectators. Except for emergency vehicles and buses under police supervision, traffic will not be permitted to cross the parade route until the parade has passed.
